The America Gets an Official ICS 4.0 to Update OTA for Galaxy S II
Do you like this story?
Starting from today the Samsung Galaxy S II will receive the OTA update. I must be joking! But just today the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to Galaxy S II for the Northern America region has arrived. Not sure why Samsung products are released and update very late in United States, vice versa with Apple devices too. So if you are a proud Samsung Galaxy S II owner hailing from United States, you can now enjoy the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on your phone as it has finally been arrived with Over the Air update.
To check for an update Head on to your mobile phone Settings.Over the previous version the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich brings you various functionalists and improvements and I am sure you would be happy to see this on your mobile phone with a new unique user interface altogether. So its the time to stop using the custom firmwares and various others just for the sake of having the feel of 4.0.
Accordingly as scheduled country wise this update to Samsung Galaxy S II is released and launch, as it was first launched in Europe, followed by Asia Pacific launch and now North America.
This update notification has been received by many users on their mobile phone itself. If you have received the notifications message then you can pull that message and click on Install to proceed with the direct installation. But before you proceed, you should make sure that you have backed up important applications on your mobile phone itself.
The details we have about this firmware is, it comes with 216 MB package file and we recommended users to proceed with this update when you are connected with Wi Fi.
